Dr. Austin Kooba - Calexico Wellness Center Ob/Gyn Physician

An Ob/Gyn physician at the Calexico Wellness Center in Southern California, Dr. Austin Kooba delivers quality care to a diverse range of patients. His areas of focus include prenatal care, annual women's health exams, menopause, and irregular bleeding. He emphasizes a holistic treatment approach spanning body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Austin Kooba combines patient education with compassion and care and is a longtime member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

A graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Dr. Kooba completed his internship and residency in Ob/Gyn at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. As part of Kaiser Permanente Medical Center’s Graduate Medical Education program in Santa Rosa, he earned the Teaching Excellence and Faculty Teacher of the Year awards, as voted by resident physicians.

Dr. Austin Kooba maintains a strong community presence through St James Catholic Church. He has served on the St. Leo Food Distribution Ministry and the PB & J Sandwich Ministry, which help feed the hungry. He has also consulted with the Napa Valley Food Bank and Catholic Charities Calistoga to ensure frontline volunteers met COVID-19 protocols during the pandemic.
